O is for Oregon, by kids for kids
C is for California, W is for Washington and O is for Oregon are the first three books that begin a project in which students of all fifty states create an alphabet book for their state. Each letter comes with a poem written about an aspect of the state that relates to that letter. A full-color, full-page photograph accompanies each couplet and factoids in the back of the book help teach children about each entry.

Students from Winterhaven Elementary School in Portland, Oregon, submitted over 150 poems for each letter, all hoping to represent their state. Because of their hard work, creativity, and talent, eighty of these students have their poetry in O is for Oregon.
